You don't have to get Pyrenees, I'm raising Anatolian Shepard and then their are the Marmmes (if I spelled that right). I'm sure all the LGD's work similar. Your Goldens will become part of their family (the LGD's) and the LGD's will let the Golden…

Interesting! That makes sense. We give the oral paste every 2 weeks to the crias until weaned and eating grain, our vet recommends it over the injections

They also say it is good for the fleece and I know a few folks that give it once a month to the entire herd or at least the ones they plan to show.

Same here Cindy, paste for us as well and it really does help. Also, cutting back on the higher protein can help too. We bulk our moms up with alfalfa and or peanut hay last trimester and the crias get it too and sometimes it is too much and can cau…

Hi Cindy, We use the paste her on our farm. Less shots the better for me... I give 5cc to the cria every 2 weeks in the winter. the preggo moms too ....they get 10cc... I also give the paste to any animal who is doing poorly as a boost ... Nancy

I am understanding that AD&E might be helpful to crooked legs? Does any one have experience with this? And then do you like paste or shots? How much do you give...I'll look at the tube or bottle but just incase but do you do something different?

Hi Cynthia,
I'm glad you liked the head, though I think I have two heads on the site. Both are sons of Snowmass Nova's Inca. The older one is Sgt Preston and the new one is Charley Russell. They were almost identical as crias.

Hi Cindy! I just had 2 crias born in Oct. I am very happy about that. I am participating in an arts and crafts show this weekend and I sure hope I sell more than I did the last 2 years. I am still waiting for my first sale on etsy. It's starting to get embarassing. I admit that although I have had an account for over a year I didn't always have any product on there but I've seen others with many sales in just a few months. I am going to do some advertising on ravelry. I plan to target groups that spin so that I can move more fiber with less work involved.

I am expecting 2 more crias very soon. I wish I could pinpoint the time more accuratly but oh well. These new crias will be my first animals for sale. I am very excited.

I hope to post new pictures soon but today I am preparing for the show tomorrow. I think that my pistachio girl may be pregnant. My fingers are crossed.
It was nice to hear from you bye for now.

Thank you Cindy. I saw a movie once long ago where there were happy happy animals on this little farm and a girl who loved them all and cared for them and i thought then that one day , that would be the name of my farm. This little farm of 6 acres has been truly blessed with an assortment of creatures but especially the beautiful Alpacas. We have 26 now and three more expected this year! What a wonderful life!

Hi Cindy! Do you think he could really be put with a Bred female even if he is not gelded yet. He is very docile and sweet and also he has been with female goats his whole life and no funny business. He is only 10 months.

Hi Cindy,
How are you! Yes, it has been a long time! I have been really busy this summer! My oldest son graduated and is now off to college. The younger one has driver's training and foot ball now! Mom's TAxi is back in business!
Both the girls are bred for late spring crias.... so now its just back tp business as usual...

Dear Cynthia,
Thank you for your message about bringing alpaca to my country Uganda. It is ok to share my message with other members. However, I have not yet seen the responses you recommended me to. I really want to start a big herd that will be used as a demonstration herd here in my country. However, I am still looking for a strategic partner from yor country or elsewhere who can guide me through this process and be supportive to each other.

Best regards
