Results showed strongials so we started her on Panacur today and will be weaning her cria and the moose starting tomorrow. Ordered some Fibrevive. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Hi all, Thanks for the replies. No Donna, this is not Moose as I'm now calling him. His dam is doing fine in the weight department. I think she's sneaking him steroids. This paca like her dam have always been thin and have a very prominant backbone.…

Definately do a fecal immediately! This type of weight loss is not from cria at side. Probably a form of emac or wicked strain of strongial. Get the fibrevive ready, you may need it! Don

I recommend to do a fecal, she could has worms. Suplement her diet with alphalpa hay. Good luck.

good thought!!! I would separate her or the cria for most of the day so cria only eats maybe twice a day if the cria is that big!

Hi Tom, Do you have a site on Alpaca Nation? See you got a picture up. Do you have one of yourself or some of your animals? Would love to see them. Ready for the big warm up this weekend? Talk with you soon.

Hey Tom, welcome! If you look on the left side of your page you see the shadow of an alpaca. Look underneath and you will see an "add photo." Click that and then you can click the browse button and find a pic on your computer to upload. Once we get back from the FABA show and you still have issues, give us a call and I can walk you through it!
