I plan on looking at a LOT of males during the upcoming show season. I'll be texting ARI #s to Pati while I'm at SWRAS and AWE. Pati will be at GWAS with me, so we'll text them to our friend. Trades are good, and if the male we want costs a female o…

Youngest here was 12 months. At 10 months and 110 lbs, she wouldn't just sit by the fence when there was a breeding, she'd mount one of the llamas, and the llama would sit for her. Oldest was 29 months. She just didn't act like an adult until then.…

I looked at all of our girls' records. With the new Alpacaease 5, it's easy to scroll through and see. Most were within 7-8 days on all gestations. A few were within 18 days. One is all over the board from one year to the next, with a 39 day range.

Never done it, but here are my thoughts: If they are ARI registered, it can be a good thing. Canada does have some very nice animals. Find out beforehand what it will cost to import them. I'd personally only buy if the price included delivery to the…

I've been using Ken Jones, but he comes a bit early for us, so this year we'll use Pete Connelly. He did some for us last year at GWAS. http://www.puravidashearing.com/

A quick report from "Shaky Town"

Hi all,
I've received quite a few calls, and made a few also. The earthquake was just a 5.4, about 40 miles from here, all's fine, no damage anywhere.
It was kinda fun watching the alpacas all huddle up in the paddocks though.

It's a sad story, but I needed to pay tribute

Hi Rick,
I am looking to transport 2 adult female and one juvenile male from Somis, CA to Peacham VT by the end of March. Any chance you'll be making a run???? You were recommended by someone on this network.

Thanks
Cheryl Carter

I finally got to see some of your videos. I couldn't see them here on my slow computer but I happen to work at a place that I can see them at. I was very impressed with your tubing video. Please keep putting them out there for us new people! I couldn't imagine doing it, but if I had to, I would. Thanks for you input for the alpaca community.

Hi Rick, I've decided that you are either an "early morning" person or a "late night" person. Everytime I get on Alpaca Social, you're usually the only on it says is online. I live in Japan, and it's 15 hours later here than it is in Texas.....so when I'm online, most people are usually sleeping!!!!! I've enjoyed your alpaca videos.....thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for the compliment about my painting. My mother wanted this one so she got it. I'll have to keep an eye on the cria's. I hear allot more about Royal Fawn now and I know Show me the Money is doing really good too. By the way, Percy joins the herd just about brought tears to my eyes. I hope Percy ends up having a very good life.

Ahh!!!, so you all bought, "Show Me the Money". I was looking for him to see where he was at and how he was doing. I have a, "Show Me the Money" grandchild. I don't know much about him or the Royal Fawn line, so I keep an eye out. Now I know where to look.

oh wow! Thank you so much for sharing that!! In the eight years I've been stitching alpacas, that's my first view at a birth. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Thank you for sharing that with us!

Talk to you soon Rick! I can't wait to get your next order!

*hugs*
