Hello, my name is Steven Ayers. My family has been raising llamas in upper east TN for almost ten years. About a year ago, we purchased a few alpacas to add to the farm.
Our farm name is Walnut Ridge Llamas.

I am currently stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage AK. Unfortunately, I do not have room in backyard for any llamas or alpacas at this time. I doubt the Air Force will allow me to have any on base :-). Ironically, Alaska is the perfect place to have either one of these animals. I went hiking the other day and it was amazing! Welcome to AlpacaSocial! I haven't been on here very long and am still learning how to use it.
Our son-in-law is in Afghanistan but should be returning this Spring.
I know some curly horse people in AK...we raise Curly Missouri Foxtrotters, too. You can see them at www.curlymft.com

This week, we just added 5 females, a black herdsire, and a gelding to our herd. I had to go to Michigan to pick them up.

Your pictures are beautiful! I have been to Alaska 4 times, once living there for 6 months. I stayed with my brother and sister-in-law at Elmendorf. I worked at a vet clinic in Anchorage.
