Our farm started as a joint venture between myself and my good friend Maxine Owens. We are both retired, she from the Sheriff's Dept. and I from the Fire Dept. We both have a love for animals and wanted to continue to do something less stressful and so we found alpacas. We have been growing our business, learning and have been all over the country taking classes and seminars, going to shows, auctions, etc. any place that we may be able to learn something or meet others in the business. It has been an adventure and we love it.
Donna have you been visiting this site? Their is a forum about the AOA auction. Their were about a third to half as many people as last year. The seminars were good and 4 days of alpacas was good, I thought it would be too much. Visit that forum and see the prices.

My LGD was I think scarred this morning and trying to get out of the yard I think we have a storm coming...gotta check the weather...but he would never come in the house and this morning he came in for an hour till it got light??? I don't know what is wrong with him he didn't eat either maybe the female cocker spaniel next property over is in heat???
What do you mean how my pictures flip through yours do too! I just had the first of my new herd sires cria I am expecting 4. I got a pinto male lt. fawn and white...not too happpy about it but it is got the cute factor! I can't wait to see the others... better be no more pintos or the herdsire will have too be replaced. AOA in Vegas is 4 days this year and $100.00 registration fee...still well worth it, at least for me only a 2 hour drive! Keep in contact...soon I'll get a digital of my own and then I'all have loss of pic's! Wishing you only females!!!
How did Fey affect you? I need to check with my sister who lives in Kissimmee. There are quite a few Floridans here, perhaps because the originator Maryann comes from Florida!
