I think the server crashed during the first auction - caused by so many people logging in at one time. But it was fixed and they went on with the auction and I believe Dan re-ran that auction a week or so later for the farms with entries that didn't…

Sample Contract For Brokering Alpacas

I've been brokering alpacas for a couple of local farms in my area with a handshake agreement, but have now been approached by a couple more farms so I've decided it would be best to get a contract down on paper. If anyone has a copy of a contract they could forward to me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Donna

Brandilyn Farm Alpacas

Hi There! This looks like a great site and no doubt will take me some time to learn how to manuver around it. My name is Donna and my husband, Bill, and I own Brandilyn Farm Alpacas, located in the most Northwest corner of Oakland County, in the small town of Holly, MI. We are a small farm with just about five acres of rolling hills and flat land pastures that circle around a large pond. We have had alpacas for two years this August. We started out with two huacaya males and very quickly added f… Continue

I couldn't agree more :) It seems such a shame to shear a suri when they look so good with their beautiful locks swaying - particularly when they are running toward you!

Hi Donna,
Wow, I didn't know that crossing suris with huacayas was such a big 'no-no' in the states! It's quite a common practice over here, there are lots of breeders doing it. Last time I heard, only 5% of the Australian herd is suri, the only way to get suris in any numbers is to cross. The quality is quite variable, but crosses have been known to beat full blooded suris in the showring on MANY occasions. Most of my suris are crosses, and I have won many ribbons with them. There are some breeders over here who don't 'believe'in crossing the two types, but I guess it's just a personal thing. It's no drama either way. I like to have full suri males to work with though. How many suris do you have?

TSC did all of their own advertising. They said I could send them signs if I wanted to but they did an excellent job of advertising.

Hi Donna,
I don't know if had told you about Jim powers of Lissabeth Alpacas.
He had to be put in the hospital because of hard time breathing and pain
in his back and chest. The found a blood clote in his lung and the doctor was
shoced that he came in under his own power. He been in for three day's
and seems to be doing better. I will let you know any other info if I get any.
Take Care Dave B.

you know I believe that with the powerful breeds that the human element has a lot to do with it, but the human element is that bad/gang people like the pit (didn't think of the rot, kinda like them. But probably not with a alpaca operation!). (give this some thought I live in the kind-a LA area) That girl Lori was very hostile and accused me of what I didn't say ... I deleted the forum but I copied part of it. I don't want to stir things up so never posted your thoughts. Any way that's why I didn't post your comment. I'm thinking probably most comments don''t need posting it is private!!! thanks for your friendship! Perhaps not every thing should be posted!!!
