I've been raising alpacas for 10 years and slowly grown my herd to over 20 alpacas. I was the Editor of the MAPACA Newsletter for over 8 years. The newsletter, at that time, was published every month and I never missed an issue. It was a labor of love for all those years. MAPACA has chosen to move on, and I have been retired, but my love of writing and my love for alpacas continues.

Hi Alice - I registered but have a local farm event the same weekend - so I still have to decide. Even if I don't go to show - I will probably still go to help out.

Sorry to hear about Fred's mom.

Hi Alice - We have had alpacas going on our third year. We currently live on Alma Parks farm in jackson have been here for a year. We are looking into moving back to Delaware in the very near future and adding on to our herd. We started with the alpacas when we lived in Mayslanding NJ. Do you focous on one color or do you breed for all colors. I am focousing on my blacks. We do have several white one bay black gelding one lite fawn cria and three blacks. We will be adding several med and dark fawns as well as some browns when we move. We are a small farm we have 11 alpacas 1 llama and two horses currently. I'm sure you know how it is with the alpacas you can never have enough lol.
