Made By Alpaca People For Alpaca People

Well.... it was a bittersweet day for me yesterday.... I sold my first alpaca! While I am happy that I have sold one, I am also very sad to lose a beautiful girl! She was my special cria that I also bottle fed for a few months to supplement mom. She has gone on to grow into a very beautiful young lady who has won her share of 1sts and 2nds at the shows this year. I am sure she will be very happy at her new home and provide them with lots of beautiful cria.
We actually traded her...( does that still count as a sale? I think so :o) )
So I am also very happ and excited at the same time to get to know our new girl Alagaesia's Silver Belle.... She is a beautiful dark silver grey girl with a very nice pedigree that goes with her :o)
We look forward to having several nice cria with her too!
It sure is a strange feeling this being happy and sad at the same time....I guess I better get used to it!
Here is a pic of the new girl

I cryed hysterically when we delivered our first sold alpacas. Tim gently reminded me of the check in his pocket and that all would be o.k. He was right. I still get upset when some of them leave...notice the word - some. : )

When we made our first sale I had to leave the farm when the transport truck was due to pick them up. I did the same thing the second time too. Sometimes I still do that. Congrats on your sale/trade! It counts for sure.

Congrats Nancy! I think it does indeed count as a sale...you "sold" one & "bought" one the same day (:

That's the way I figure it too!!!

I still miss my girl that I sold... but the new one is just as much fun, plus I can breed her to all my males here!
