Made By Alpaca People For Alpaca People

I would like to know if anyone out there knows the breakdown of alpaca poop? I plan to sell alpaca beans for Farm Days and I would like to be able to tell them the chemical properties.

Thank you,

I read that alpaca poop has N- 1.5 P- 0.2 K- 1.1
In any case, it is great for my spruce trees that I've been planting for the past 3 months. They are really much prettier now that they have been put into the ground in big holes and lots of alpaca poop/wasted hay.

Thanks Liz!
I was lookling more for what you see on the fertilizer bags 15-13-15 type thing. I am assuming that N =nitrogen, P=phosphates, but what does K stand for?

Thank you for your help!

I,too, have read in a magazine, that has proven to be a reliable resource that the rating is 2-1-1 and the K stands for Potassium.

Hi Edward,

You must know your periodic table? I have forgotten mine! Do you know exactly what that means 2-1-1?
What do I say to my customers about the benefits of alpaca poop and use the 2-1-1 formula?
Thanks for your help!

Oh sorry Barbara,
I have been at work and have not been back on the computer. The K does in fact stand for Potassium.
2-1-1 means 2 nitrogen, 1 Phosphorus, 1 Potassium.
I would just give them testimonials. There are some on this site, I guess just print them off. You are welcome to use mine about my spruce trees. They were yellow until I added the poop!

Thank you, but just what does all that mean? I am used to the 15-15-15 numbers. I need to know what to tell the people at Farm Days when they ask me about it.
Thanks for ay help you can give me.

The 2-1-1 is the same as the 15-15-15, only much less. A bag of 15-15-15 fertilizer has 7.5, 15 and 15 times more nitrogen, phosporus and potassium than alpaca poop.

Thanks Heidi! Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you, but somehow I missed this email.
Thanks again!

Rick,
What is the source for these numbers?
I have a local nursery interested in my paca poop and I'd like to be able to quote them numbers from a scientific source.
Thanks !
