Alpaca beaten to Death in TWP OHIO
MADISON TWP. — A 17-year-old boy is charged after he is accused of beating a three month-old alpaca to death earlier this month, WKRC-TV Local 12 reported.
The youth is charged with animal cruelty, breaking and entering and tampering with evidence and is being held in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center in Hamilton.
Another 17-year-old and a 22-year-old woman also may be charged in the case, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Local 12 reported.
The animal was at a farm in the 1700 block of Brown Run Road in Madison Twp., and had been reported stolen.
Deputies say those involved beat the young alpaca and took the animal away in a truck and beat it again until it was dead before dumping it in an abandoned barn on Elk Creek Road in Montgomery County, Local 12 reported.
Alpacas Wing Ranch and Annie Earhart have gotten together to ask for donations.

This is so so sad.
It breaks my heart.
I will never forget the night in 2007 when I found 5 day old Arianne decapitated in the pasture with her Mom cushed a few feet away, humming.
and..I will also never forget the love and support of the Alpaca Community!
My heart is with Rebecca and Jeff and I stand behind them in demanding punishment for the crime committed against them and the death of Masterpiece.
In my case, there was only "third party" information, so no one was ever held accountable.

Dear Annie,
I am sending you a donation, but I don't want a magnet. Just 1 hour and a baseball bat in the cell with those delinquents! They'll never touch anything after I get done with them.
How can anyone look into the precious eyes of a cria and do what they did? I'm scared to sell my animals for fear that something like this might happen to them. It was bad enough when dogs killed 2 of mine. But for a human, (and I use the term loosely here) to beat a baby???? Were they on Drugs or Drunk or What?????
To the owners of this precious angel, my sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of your baby. I cannot imagine what you are going through. My heart is with you and your herd.

Thanks for the update Maryann.
IMO, his parents are smarter than I gave them credit for. The whole Alpaca community needs to get behind this and make sure that justice is served. I just wish the national media would pick up on this instead of the crap we are bombarded with day in and day out. It's time the senseless violence in this world came to an end, but I guess that's just wishful thinking on my part.
We need to DEMAND justice NOW!
