During the early morning hours of November 7, 2009, CPeruvian Accoyo Express 0222 was stolen from Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm located in La Motte, Iowa. The person or persons responsible for the theft trespassed on Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm, and damaged personal property to gain access to
Accoyo Express.

Please call:

We would like to thank the alpaca community for all their kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Just want to make sure the word gets out as not to scare people any more --- he was not stolen. There is a conflict between owners. It would be nice if the people who sent the blast email out sent another one saying it was in error. Not fair to the entire alpaca community, new owners, older owners and those considering owning - to put people in an alarmed state, especially if they knew in more in advance than their email blast lead everyone to believe. Just my opinion. Cindy Lavan

I agree wholeheartedly with Cindy.

To alarm the entire alpaca community, when in actuality it is a dispute amongst the owners.

SHAME ON THEM!

To put an email blast (that looks like an ad) to the entire community almost 4 days after the "disappearance" knowing it would then get on facebook, alpaca social, alpacastreet, etc. scared so many folks, put everyone on alarm, and not REALLY look into the situation especially with your co-owners, maybe someone needs to think about airing their "dirty laundry" other ways. And if a big fat lie turned into this, shame on them all!

Irish Meadows owns 25% of Express. They are entitled to 3 months a year, they had him 7.It was reported Express was locked in a building totally isolated, from all Alpacas. And it was reported, they would block his only exit door using a pickup truck. Express: Will be moved, to a third party farm once all parties agree on location and terms with Express health being #1 priority

OK all, here is the latest update.......I received a call this morning from Julie Delaney of Irish Meadows.

Accoyo Express was stolen off the property while they were away at show. They had no idea that this was going to happen. It was highly suggested to post the blast for multiple reasons.....
1. At the time of the blast they did not know and still do not know where he is
2. Put the word out that if ANYONE was to approach an alpaca breeder with a deal to breed to Express, NOT TO TAKE IT and call the AUTHORITIES!
3. Keep an eye out for Accoyo Express.

Legally, The Delaneys of Irish Meadows can not talk about the details of the case as the local authorities are considering this a THEFT and TRESPASSING and are actively pursuing it.

It sounds to me like an owner dispute but some people involved ummmmmmmm how shall i say, may not be owners anymore and were unhappy about that and took things into their own hands illegally, wrongly and put the alpaca community and the other owners of Express under undo stress, only my opinion!!!

BOTTOM LINE:

If you think you know where Express is, seen him or know of someone trying to sell breeding to him:

CALL THE AUTHORITIES AND IRISH MEADOWS!

Hope the alpaca social has cleared things up just a bit!

Any other updates in the future, we will be sure to post!
