I second that! We have used Dick for years and refer him to everyone that asks us our opinion. He is great with the animals and a joy to work with!

I totally agree that Dick is the best transporter we have had, we were lucky to find him in the beginning and reccommend him highly to all of our customers over the years. He always is quick with a new joke every time we see him!

I have not used him myself, but an alapca I sold was transported by him. He was very courteous and knew how concerned I was about my girl. He called me to let me know when he dropped her off with her new owner and how she was doing at that time. He even complimented on what a pretty female she was. His trailer was clean and the bedding was kept picked up. He had a a few alpacas in the trailer with the males kept separated. He even went by our farm transporting different alpacas to and from farms in ajoining states, but didn't want to pick ours up until he was headed west, so she wouldn't have to be on the trailer to long. For that reason alone I would use him. He'd get a blue ribbon from me for service!

Dick and Sharon make a wonderful team! I've had the pleasure of using Captain Dick's transport from the beginning. We purchased our first Alpacas from "Alpacas in the Forest" a few years back and since then have created a profound friendship with both Dick and Sharon. Dick is very considerate and understanding of the alpacas needs... and always plans accordingly whatever the circumstances... the animals always come first. I highly recommend this service above all the rest!

They are the best would not call any other. They take care of the Alpacas our
Alpacas were on the road with Captian Dick for 4 plus day's and every one was healthy.
Hope Dick and Sharon will provide transportation for years to come.

I've not used Dick, but I know the reputation, I'd use him in a heartbeat.
A couple other transporters should be mentioned.
Randy Coleman, Wings and a Prayer alpacas. Being on the left coast, he's my first choice. He and his brother team drive, so it's usually the fastest cross country trip. Downside is they may arrive at 2:00 AM. I'll gladly get up at 2:00 AM if it means my girl spends 2 days less in the trailer.

Evan Harwood, Caliente Alpaca Transport. Good, reliable, excellent communication.

Tim Wagnon, Alpaca Bella Fina. Great service, great people, the nicest rig in the industry, but you do pay a bit more.

Rick Horn, All American Alpacas. Good service if you can put up with the guy driving.
